3rd International Symposium on Cross Sector Social Interactions

RSM Erasmus University - Rotterdam, 24 & 25 May 2012

Making a Difference - Enhancing the Impact of Partnerships for the social good. Following the two previous successful CSSI symposia, the 3rd International Symposium on CSSI addressed one of the most important challenges of contemporary partnership research: how to approach the ‘impact’ question. The symposium intends brought together researchers, as well as practitioners from a variety of areas. It expanded the programme structure of the previous CSSI symposia by adding an extra day in order to allow for interactive presentation sessions hosted by scholars, practitioners, and PhD students. The symposium aims to support efforts to institutionalise this area of research, and to further contribute to the creation of a thriving and collaborative international community of scholars and practitioners.

Sustainable Business & Social Entrepreneurship

Philips Breitner Tower - Amsterdam, 9 December 2011

We hosted the Sustainable Business & Social Entrepreneurship event with YPMTD, in association with Behold and 11 Partners in 2011. Our goal was to provide young professionals in the Netherlands with engaging opportunities to lend their professional skills toward sustainable development projects, and at the same time, learn new ways to further integrate sustainability into their own workplaces. The main theme for the event was collaboration. We co-hosted this event with other knowledgeable organisations to strengthen the day’s program with our unique areas of expertise. In our DO-IT Sessions, young professionals from diverse backgrounds worked together to solve real world challenges faced by sustainable businesses, social entrepreneurss, and non-profit organisations. We all have something to contribute and we all have much to learn.
